TIO PEPE SHERRY- Schieffelin & Co.- Literally translated "Uncle Joe" is named after one of the older members of the Gonzalez family, whose favorite it was. Tio Pepe is considered the ultimate in Dry Sherry, being extremely dry and delicate. It is the standard by which all Dry Sherries ave been judged throughout the world for generations. Today, Gonzalez, Byass is known the world over as one of Spain's finest Sherries. Gonzales, Byass are the largest vineyard owners in Jerez, with over 1,000 acres of the finest Sherry producing vineyards. A minimum of 30,000 butts of selected Sherry is kept maturing in the Soleras of the firm's bodegas or warehouses. The company is 130 years old, having been founded by Don Manuel and Maria Gonzales.
